New Sports Law Handbook for Coaches and Athletic Administrators Dedicated to Author’s 86 Year Old Dad Coach Glover on Father’s Day.
Jackson MS — June 16 2009 — Today Business Law For Everyone LLC announces The new Sports Law Handbook For Coaches and Athletic Administrators by William H. Glover, Jr., is dedicated to his 86 year old father Coach William H. Glover of Jackson MS.
In 1947 Coach Glover played for Ole Miss under Coach Johnny Vault. It was that year Ole Miss won the SEC Southeastern Conference title. Glover held the single game punt return record for 33 years at Ole Miss. He would go on to coach football in Pell City, Alabama, leading the Pell City High School Panthers to 5 undefeated seasons. But his most memorable coaching came as a father to his two son Bill Glover of Flowood, MS, and Dr. Jeff Glover of McComb, MS. Dr. Glover honored his father in an acceptance speech into the St. Clair County Alabama Hall Of Fame four years ago. When asked why he became a Dr. he stated he didn’t have a choice. “Dad told Bill: You’re going to be a lawyer and Jeff you a Dr.” Author William H. Glover Jr. J.D. also played football at Ole Miss. and his son Peter Glover followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and is the Defensive Coordinator for Terry High School football team in Terry, MS.
The Sports Law Handbook examines sports and its relationship to various areas of law, as well as the legal liabilities and responsibilities of coaches, administrators, managers, and institutions that have a relationship to the sports field.
